I don't work with gas. Do I still need a gas alarm?
Every household and business regardless of their work or industry should have some level of gas protection with a gas alarm. Leaks can occur from a multitude of appliances. For example, carbon monoxide can be emitted from faulty ventilation, so even if you do not work directly with the gas it is a good idea to have a carbon monoxide alarm installed.
How often should I have my gas detection alarms tested?
As with fire alarms and smoke detectors, you gas alarms, gas monitors, and other detection appliances should be tested, checked, and services regularly. It is best to have them tested at the same time as your other alarms and safety equipment.
How much does a gas alarm cost?
The price of gas alarms vary from product to product. Different gas detection products include stationary or portable alarms, gas control panels, and gas sensors. To discuss your requirements, and receive a free quote and information on the right alarm for you please contact our team directly.
Do I need Wi-Fi to have a wireless alarm system?
Wireless alarm systems are becoming increasingly popular and for good reason. However, some people are worried that their wireless alarm will take up too much connection on their Wi-Fi. In fact, the majority of wireless alarms operate on radio frequencies and do not require an internet connection to work.
How does a wireless intruder alarm work?
Wireless intruder alarms consist of a central control panel and individual sensors that can be placed throughout your premises. The sensors detect any movement and then send a message back to the control panel which sets off an alarm warning you of the intruder. Some alarm systems can even send text messages directly to your phone when you are away from the building.
How often should my security alarm be serviced?
Ideally, your security systems and intruder alarm should be serviced at least once a year. This allows us to find any potential faults and have them rectified and repaired quickly. If you have a complicated security system that incorporates multiple alarms and cameras then you should consider having it serviced more regularly.
